    Title: 液晶顯示器的窄邊框之研究;Study on the narrow bezel of liquid crystal display

    Abstract: 本論文主要探討在顯示器上方增加複合稜鏡,利用稜鏡將部分的光線導引將畫面邊緣部分些微拉伸至邊框部分,來發揮遮蓋住部分的邊框,達成邊框窄化的視覺效果。第一部分在說明此研究下所有的複合稜鏡反射面的幾何形狀以及全反射面和進光面夾角α的架構,第二部分,我們針對這些架構及條件進行光學軟體的模擬。
    結果顯示,當平面形複合稜鏡α角32°均勻度88.35%、凸面弧形複合稜鏡弧形+R40α角30°均勻度66.87%和凹面弧形複合稜鏡‐R40α角34°均勻度62.58%均勻度為最佳。分析三種複合稜鏡在0°、10°、20°、30°和40°不同角度的相對輝度, 0°~10°平面形複合稜鏡輝度最佳,20°~40°凹面弧形複合稜鏡輝度表現最佳。透過導光板佈點密度由0%提升至15%、密度分布距離導光板邊緣距離約10m左右,模擬結果可以提升平面稜鏡亮度約6%左右以改善全反射面亮度偏低的問題。
    ;This thesis mainly was discussed adding a composite lens on the top of the display module and using the lens to extend the edge portion of the screen to the frame part to achieve a borderless visual effect. In section 1, it was discussed all the shapes of the reflection surface of composite lens and the α angle between the surfaces of reflection and light emitting. In section 2, we processed the optical simulation based on all the structures.
    The results show that the uniformity is 88.35% as α angle of the planar composite lens is 32°, the uniformity is 66.87% as α angle of the R40 convex curved composite lens is 30°, and the uniformity is 62.58% as α angle of the R40 concave curved composite lens is 34°. In the conditions, the uniformity of the screen is the best. The three kinds of the composite lens were observed at the viewing angle from 0° to 40°. The planar composite lens brightness was the best at 0° to 10°, and the concave curved composite lens brightness performed the best at 20° to 40°. The dot density of the light guide plate is increased from 0% to 15%, and the distance of pattern distribution is about 10mm from the side of the light guide plate. The simulation result shows the brightness of the planar lens can increase by about 6%.
